Here’s a test I did in maya with Arnold. I wanted to have a blurry cloud around the text that when played in an image sequence, changed every frame. This way, it would look like a sketchy/motion blur cloud. I did this by rendering with just two camera samples and adding Denoise Optix. I chose Optix because 1. it’s GPU based which will contribute to the super fast render time I wanted and 2. because it’s not meant for denoising animations so that was I would get the jittery look I was looking for. In the end, the frames took 7-10 seconds and spit out something that I think looks pretty cool. Almost looks like watercolor.
